Fund raising for Andhra Pradesh flood relief, September, 2024
We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from our incredible TeluguDesam Australia members for flood relief efforts. Your generous donations of A$9351(Rs.525,526) have made a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by the AP floods. Together, we provided 1,000 pressure cookers, 500 pairs of shoes for school children, and most importantly, the gift of HOPE to those in need. Thank you for standing strong with us—your kindness truly reflects the spirit of our community! A special thanks to Pattabhiram Garu for organizing the goods distribution event. Your dedication and hard work brought our community together in such a meaningful way. Smt.Nandamuri Basavataraka Rama Rao Memorial Cancer Foundation (NBTRCF) Charity Event 2018
A dream of legendary Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao popularly known as NTR, an renowned Indian actor, filmmaker and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state, India. A modern cancer hospital established by Sri NTR in memory that his wife Smt.Nandamuri Basavatarakam garu who lost her life to the disease.
NBTR Cancer Foundation, India along with several philanthropists, scientists and physicians under the aegis of Indo American Cancer Organization (IACO), USA established the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACH&RI) at Hyderabad with some of the best Cancer Specialists in India. https://induscancer.com/.
It has been the ambition for Telugudesam Australia to be a small but important part of the great service being provided by BIACH&RI to people from different walks of life by conducting a charity event and donate towards this great cause. On 8 April 2018, Telugudesam Australia arranged a Meet & Greet Diner with Sri. Nandamuri Balakrishna, Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh state, with an intention to raised funds towards the great cause.
Telugudesam Australia would like to convey heartfelt thank you all our Members, Sponsors and Supporters for their generosity in donating and successfully raising the amount of AUD $119,129.23 (INR ₹ 57, 94,445.75).
Steve Waugh Foundation 2016
THERE ARE ABOUT 8000 RARE DISEASES AFFECTING AN ESTIMATED 1.5 MILLION AUSTRALIANS, INCLUDING ABOUT 300,000 AUSTRALIAN CHILDREN. The Steve Waugh Foundation is about Strength of Character. It’s at the core of what we do, from the people we support to the people who support us.We are ‘somewhere to turn’ for children and young adults with rare diseases. SWF take a holistic approach to supporting children and young adults (0-25yrs) with the rarest diseases. Some children come for help once; others come back time and time again. We work to give these children and young adults a better quality of life, offering support and the opportunity to connect with others. On the Auspicious month of Kaartheekamasam Vanabhojanam, TeluguDesam Australia generously raised funds for Steve Waugh Foundation to help children with rare diseases and We thank all our members, Sponsors and Supporters for their contributions.

ఎప్పటిలానే ఆనవాయితీగా 2015 లో (22 నవంబర్ ) కూడా తెలుగుదేశం ఆస్ట్రేలియా సంస్థ ఈ ఏడాది తమ సభ్యుల కుటుంబాలతో కార్తీకమాస వనభోజనాలని సిడ్నీలోని పరామట్టా పార్క్ లో వేడుకగా నిర్వహించుకుంది.ఈ సంస్థ సేవాభావంతో నిథులు సమీకరించి ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ఒక మంచి కార్యక్రమానికి అండ గా అందజేస్తుంది. అలాగే ఈ సంవత్సరం తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో వర్షాభావ పరిస్థితుల వల్ల నైతిక స్థైర్యం కోల్పోయి ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకున్న రైతు కుటుంబాలకి అండగా నిలబడాలని నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఈ సదాశయంతో సంస్థ సుమారు 7000 డాలర్ల మొత్తాన్ని సమీకరించి ఎ.బి.యన్- ఆంథ్రజ్యోతి ద్వారా బాధిత రైతు కుటుంబాలకి అందజేసింది. ఈ సందర్భం గా ఇలాంటి సేవా కార్యక్రమాల్లో సంస్థ కి వెన్నుదన్ను గా నిలబడుతున్న సభ్యులు,దాతలని తెలుగుదేశం ఆస్ట్రేలియా ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందిస్తుంది.
